Mr. Rocco...
"Mr. Rocco"
had his vet visit. this was the first time i had taken him without another dog with him. well... that was not a good idea. he was EXTRA nervous the entire trip. it was a very hot day and the ac blasting in the truck with all of the vents turned his way didn't help. i talked to him and rubbed his head the entire ride. we both did survive. a little shaking and a couple of peaks out the truck window and we were at the vets office. the vet visit went well. he had a good check up, got updated on all of his shots and the blood work came back good. the only suggestion was for a teeth cleaning. but with a dog roccos age, that was to be expected. the "old man" of the dogs, made it back home and let everyone sniff him as they all went running out the back door for a bathroom break. rocco was the first one back in, pawing at his pen gate. i opened the gate and he ran in, jumped into his bed, face hidden under his blanket he didn't move an inch until later on when it was time to go back out.
Hot Days of July2012...
Next up... Mr. Rocco. Rocco is due for the next vet visit. Plan to schedule for next week.
July has been very HOT around here. All the dogs are ding well. The heat brings on many different issues. The outside breaks are very short with all the dogs wanting to get back inside with the AC. Next week brings temps back down in the 80's. Less humidity is a good thing when they are wearing a fur dog coat around all of the time. Can't wait to see what Aug will bring.
