she loves being in the grass and rubbing her belly on the ground. food is by far her best friend. we believe if you let her, she would eat until she popped. scarlett was a pound puppy that we adopted from the local shelter. as we were told, her story goes... she was brought in from a family who could no longer take care of her. she was in the local paper as being up for adoption and with her great friendly personality she was adopted the same day her picture was in the newspaper. we were so happy when we found out she was already adopted. well... as you must have guessed... that didn't last long. 2 weeks later i was at the shelter walking around and petting the dogs when i came to the next pen, guess who was back? yep, there sat scarlett looking at me and me thinking OMG it's scarlett! i thought she had been adopted. well after asking around, scarlett had been adopted out but was brought back to the shelter after a week. they were told it just didn't work out with her new home. i know, i know... you are already saying to yourself that you know what happens next... as i left the shelter, got into my truck, put on my seatbelt, started the engine, put the truck into drive and started to pull away... i put my foot on the break peddle, thought for just a moment and slowly looked over to the passenger seat and said... "let's go home scarlett, i have some new friends for you to meet, but i need you to do one thing for me...just be a dog.
