Sadie Girl...

Sadie Girl is our female brown (I think they are called blue) Pit Bull. Solid as a rock, strong and muscles that make me think it's time I start working out again. She came into our lives and as her story goes, most of her long days were being spent in a dog travel crate. She shows markings and scars of past fighting. One ear, to this day doesn't work as well as the other. One of the first things we noticed with her was she loves attention. She listens and responds very well to commands. She loves playing with her basketball.
All of our dogs have their own basketball. Hers is now flat from all of the chewing. But that's the way she likes it. She quickly became good friends with our other dog at the time, PD. Never thought I would see the day that a pit bull would allow a little beagle take her food. But sadie girl did. When she wants the exercise she now runs towards Buster. Both are big dogs and when the playing, pushing, jumping, running starts between them, the beagles head for the hills. Yep, it's best to get out of their way. Big dogs playing and little dogs in the way don't mix. But it's great to see them playing and of coarse getting out some of that big dog energy. But as time goes on even the hard playing seems to slow. We keep a watchful eye now days as both pd and sadie girl are getting older. We always smile when we see sadie girl playing with any of the other dogs. With the cold weather now on us and her short fur, we put a sweater on her for the winter. The one she has on now is blue and has the words "i'm just a short reindeer" on it. Works well for the holidays. She has 3 blankets in her pen and as night falls she is no where to be found. All you see is a big lump of blankets with sadie girl all snuggled in for a warm winters night sleep. "Good Night, Sadie Good Girl... we will see you in the morning..."
